First, we strongly recommend that you don't update anything within at least two weeks of an upcoming show. That way, if a problem is discovered, there’s time to deal with it without stress.
If you're about to go on tour, dealing with potential issues like this are not how you want to spend your time. Presumably your touring setup, including your existing version of Gig Performer, is working fine so leave everything alone and wait until your show or tour is over.
Here are two blog articles with the detailed explanation:
- Be careful with updates
- Best practices for a rock solid software based setup
To check whether there are new updates available for Gig Performer, go to General Options and then click the Check Now button.
If there is an update available, a new dialog will pop up:
Click the Get update button to go to the download page.
When you download the installer for your platform, install Gig Performer as usual.
Alternatively, you can go to the Gig Performer Downloads page, download the installer (as if you were a trial user) and install Gig Performer. Your license will be automatically recognized.
Note: if you use an older version of Gig Performer, please go to the Store page to check your update price.
